This was a first for COMPASSIONATE HANDS AND HEARTS BREAST CANCER OUTREACH.  Our community partner, PARK SQUARE HOMES, generously offered us one of their fabulous model homes for the day.  It was a perfect setting for us to entertain our two new clients, Lynda and Kimberly.  The wonderful folks at PARK SQUARE even provided snacks for us and our client/friends.  The cancer journey has brought some financial setbacks for both of these warriors.  In fact, Kimberly recently lost her home and has to deal with that, in addition to her cancer challenges. We were able to provide both ladies with a gift bag of goodies, as well as gift cards for gas and groceries.  We also paid two months rent for both of them and an additional bill of their choice.  We wouldn't be able to do any of this without our very generous donors.  They helped us impact the lives of two grateful breast cancer patients on this day.  Thank you donors ! Click here to see more pictures of our day with Lynda and Kimberly.  OPERATION: SURROUNDED BY NEW FRIENDS Our client Shawn is unfortunately all too familiar with cancer.  Her mother died of cancer and her father is a cancer survivor.  But Shawn was blindsided when she received a breast cancer diagnosis shortly after her mother passed away.  We were delighted when Shawn agreed to attend one of our fundraisers, BURPEES FOR BOOBIES, so the donors could meet someone we help.  While she was there, we took her aside to reveal the special gifts we had for her.  Her signature gift bag included products to pamper herself,  a LADY O collection bracelet and gift cards for gas and groceries.  But of course we weren't done with that.  We surprised her by paying for two months rent and two utility bills of her choice.  Welcome to the COMPASSIONATE HANDS AND HEARTS family, Shawn.  BURPEES FOR BOOBIES! Thanks to all the athletes who came out to support our first BURPEES FOR BOOBIES for the month of May.  The first event was held, Saturday, May 5 at ARMOR CROSSFIT in Ocoee. The concept is awesome.  Athletes collect pledges for the number of burpees they can do in two hours.  Several of the athletes at this first event did more than 500 burpees and raised a lot of money for COMPASSIONATE HANDS AND HEARTS.  Thanks everyone for making this first event a huge success!
